How to Create, Manage, and Promote Job Listings

Task 0: Logging Into the Website Dashboard

Before you start: Do NOT attempt to log in more than 2 times if your password fails. The website will automatically lock you out after 2–3 failed attempts. If you are locked out, contact Daniel at [email protected] to restore access.

Step 1: Access the Login Screen

1. Open your web browser.
2. Go to the login page: https://acctonline.ca/doj-bfadmin155875751

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials

1. Enter your Username / Email (Ask Daniel, Sari or Dima).
2. Enter your Password (Ask Daniel, Sari or Dima).
3. Click Log In.

Step 3: Resetting a Forgotten Password

1. If you forget your password, click “Lost your password?” under the login form.
2. Enter your email/username to request a reset.
3. Check the primary team email ([email protected]) for the password reset instructions link.

Task: Managing Job Listings (Join Our Team Page)

Part A: Editing & Deleting Team Members, Creating & Publishing a New Job Listing

 HR DOCUMENTATION

Most of the job details, requirements, and deadlines will be provided to you directly in a document from HR prior to starting this process.

Step 1: Locate Existing Job Listings

1. Log into the dashboard.

2. On the left side panel, click Job Listings (or Job Posting > Job Listing).

3. You will see the master list of all active and past job postings.

Step 2: Duplicate an Existing Listing

DO NOT click "Add New Job Listing"! Always duplicate an existing listing to carry over the pre-designed layout template.


1. Hover your cursor over any existing job listing in the list.

2. Click Duplicate Job Listing from the menu links that appear.

3. In the pop-up window, enter the Title (e.g., Settlement Worker). Leave the "Slug" field blank/as-is.

4. Click the Duplicate Job Listing button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

5. On the next confirmation screen, click Edit Post to open the editor.

Step 3: Fill Out Job Metadata Fields

In the Edit Job Listing screen, update the core details using the info provided by HR:

• Employment Type: Select option from the drop-down (e.g., Full-Time, Part-Time).

• Hours Per Week: Enter hours (e.g., 15 hours/week).

• Job Location: City or workplace setup.

• Duration: Contract length (e.g., Fixed Term Contract until Dec 31, 2027).

• Wage Rate: Pay rate (e.g., $30.75 per hour).

Step 4: Fill Out Content Text Boxes

Copy and paste the specific sections from the HR document into their respective text boxes on the page:

Step 5: Publish & Verify

1. Click the blue Publish button on the right-side panel.

2. Navigate to the live website's Join Our Team page and click Refresh to confirm the position is live.

Part B: Editing & Removing (Unpublishing) Job Listings

How to Edit an Existing Job Posting

1. Go to Job Listings on the left side panel.

2. Hover over the job title you want to edit and click Edit.

3. Make your changes in the editor fields.

4. Click Publish (or Update) on the right panel to save changes.

How to Remove a Job Posting from the Website

DO NOT CLICK DELETE! We keep all job listings saved in the backend so we can continue duplicating their template structure.

1. Go to Job Listings on the left panel.

2. Hover over the job listing you want to take down.

3. Click Quick Edit.

4. Locate the Status drop-down menu (currently set to Published).

5. Change the status to Draft.

6. Click Update at the bottom right of the Quick Edit box.

 

7. Refresh the website to confirm the listing is hidden from the public view.

Part C: Publishing the Job Listing to LinkedIn

SUPER ADMIN ACCESS REQUIRED

To post job updates directly on the official ACCT LinkedIn page, you must have Super Admin privileges. Currently, Super Admin access is held by Daniel Jabbour, Dima Amad, and Sari Alhousaini. Contact them if you encounter access issues.

Step 1: Copy the Website Job Summary

1. Go to the published job listing on the website.

2. Copy the text under the Position Summary section to your clipboard.

Step 2: Generate LinkedIn Post Copy with ChatGPT

1. Open ChatGPT in your web browser.

2. Paste the prompt below into ChatGPT, substituting your copied job summary at the bottom:

Generate a high-impact LinkedIn job post based on the job description provided below. Write in a professional, engaging, and welcoming tone that attracts qualified candidates while reflecting a strong employer brand.

The post should:

Start with a compelling hook that captures attention within the first two lines.

Clearly highlight the role, its purpose, and the opportunity to make an impact.

Summarize the key responsibilities and qualifications in an easy-to-read format.

Showcase the organization's culture, mission, or employee value proposition (if provided).

Include a strong call to action encouraging candidates to apply or share the opportunity.

Optimize the post for LinkedIn engagement by using concise paragraphs, strategic emojis (where appropriate), and keyword-rich language.

Include 10–15 relevant, trending LinkedIn hashtags related to recruitment, careers, the industry, and the specific job function.

Keep the post between 150–300 words for maximum readability and engagement.

Avoid sounding generic or overly promotional. Focus on authenticity, inclusivity, and candidate appeal.

3. Press Enter to generate the caption.

4. Proofread the generated content carefully to ensure all factual details are accurate, then copy the caption.

Step 3: Publish Post on LinkedIn

1. Log into LinkedIn and ensure you are operating under the official ACCT Company Page.

2. Click Start a post.

3. Paste your generated caption into the post window.

4. Copy the URL link of the active job listing from the ACCT website.

5. Paste the website URL directly at the end of your LinkedIn caption.

6. Wait a few seconds for LinkedIn to automatically generate the rich web preview/hyperlink box.

7. Click Post.
